This course provides an overview of the regulatory process and demonstrates how utility operations and finance must work together to meet a Local Distribution Company’s (LDC’s) regulatory requirements.
Participants gain a foundational understanding of the financial and accounting considerations within a rate-regulated environment, as well as insight into current issues facing today’s electricity sector.

This course is intended for individuals who are not accounting specialists or who have little or no accounting background and require an understanding of rate-regulated accounting.
It is particularly beneficial for those who need a basic understanding of the regulatory process and for staff supporting a cost of service application.
