In today’s rapidly evolving energy landscape, leadership requires more than operational stability—it demands the ability to shape the future. As LDCs respond to complex and unpredictable pressures, such as growing EV infrastructure demands, leaders must look beyond efficiency to address strategic gaps and build resilient systems.

This session provides a foundational understanding of what managers manage versus what leaders lead. Participants explore how to translate strategic objectives into breakthrough outcomes, turning visionary ideas into sustainable, real-world action.

By viewing complexity as an opportunity rather than a barrier, leaders develop the agility, strategic insight, and resilience needed to deliver value today while preparing for tomorrow.

• Format: In-person, full-day session
• Credits: 6.5 CPD hours with HRPA
• Includes: Materials, assessment tools, breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks

This course qualifies for 6.5 hours of CPD with HRPA upon successful completion.

The following topics are explored through practical, hands-on exercises tailored to the energy sector and participant priorities:

• Fostering collaborative and dynamic thinking to generate new knowledge and insight

This session is designed for C-level executives, senior managers, and select middle management within LDCs who are responsible for navigating complex, forward-looking portfolios.

It is particularly valuable for senior leaders setting strategic direction and middle managers managing multifaceted initiatives requiring proactive, future-oriented decision-making.

Daily Schedule: 8:30 AM – approximately 4:30 PM
Breakfast: Complimentary breakfast available starting at 7:30 AM (voucher provided upon arrival)

Cancellations received in writing ten (10) working days prior to the course date will receive a full refund, less a 20% service fee (plus 13% HST). For programs facilitated by Schulich Executive Education Centre, cancellations must be received thirty (30) days prior to the course date.

Substitution of registrants from the same company may be made up to the course date.

The MEARIE Group reserves the right to postpone or cancel any course due to low enrollment. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund or may transfer their registration to a future session.
