This integrated program brings together two globally recognized change management certifications into a single, streamlined learning experience delivered over eight half-day sessions. Participants gain practical, applied knowledge of change management techniques while working toward both the Change Management Foundation™ and Change Management Practitioner™ certifications, including two exams and two credentials.
Developed by the Change Management Institute (CMI) and aligned with the second edition of the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK), the program also incorporates principles from Prosci’s ADKAR® model, ensuring broad applicability across organizations regardless of the change framework in use. The program is well suited to professionals seeking to strengthen their ability to lead, manage, and support change initiatives across a variety of organizational contexts.
Participants may take the Foundation™ and Practitioner™ programs together or register for each certification separately. To earn the Change Management Professional (CMP) designation, candidates must successfully complete both certification exams.
The Foundation™ portion of the program establishes a strong grounding in change management concepts, models, and techniques that can be effectively applied within organizations. Participants explore how change impacts individuals, teams, and leadership, and how structured change management practices support successful outcomes.

This phase also prepares participants to write the APMG International Change Management Foundation™ exam. To support success, the course study guide is provided in advance, along with assignments and practice exams. The Foundation™ exam is completed following the first five sessions.
The Practitioner™ portion builds on the Foundation™ knowledge and focuses on applying and tailoring change management approaches in real-world organizational scenarios. Participants examine how different techniques can be adapted depending on the nature, scale, and complexity of a change initiative.
This advanced phase emphasizes:
Practical application of change management guidance
Integration of change management within project and program environments
Context-driven decision-making and adaptability
Upon completion of sessions six through eight, participants are prepared to write the APMG International Change Management Practitioner™ exam. As with the Foundation™ level, study materials, assignments, and practice quizzes are provided in advance to support learning and exam readiness.
